Wilhelm Gentsch

Wilhelm Christoph Emil Gentsch (born April 9, 1865 in Saint Petersburg , † after 1949) was a German engineer.

Life

Wilhelm Gentsch studied engineering at the Technical University of Berlin , where he became a member of the Corps Pomerania-Silesia. After completing his studies, he entered the service of the Imperial Patent Office as an engineer, where he was promoted to government councilor and senior councilor and was promoted to a member of the patent office. Gentsch was the author of numerous technical papers and wrote a number of reviews on technical specialties. His book Steam Turbines was considered the standard patent work for steam turbine engineers. He was editor of the magazine fuel and heat economy, communications of the Brennkrafttechnische Gesellschaft eV Berlin . He was a member of the Berlin Masonic Lodge To the flaming star . On October 15, 1890, he married Klara Anna Sophia Kirschner in Charlottenburg.
