Wilhelm Kollmar
Heinrich Wilhelm Kollmar (born March 15, 1871 in Zweibrücken , † July 16, 1948 in Karlsruhe ) was a German sculptor and ceramist .
Life
Kollmar trained as a wood carver from 1886 to 1889 . Then attended the arts and crafts school in Munich and trained as a carver in Tyrol . In 1896 he began studying at the Grand Ducal Baden Art School in Karlsruhe , where he 1898-1905 master student at Hermann Volz was.
From 1904 Kollmar worked as a freelance sculptor in Karlsruhe. In addition, designs were created for the Karlsruhe majolica manufactory .
Kollmar's work has been shown in exhibitions in Karlsruhe, Düsseldorf, Wiesbaden, Baden-Baden and Munich, among others.
