Wilhelm Meinardus (born July 14, 1867 in Oldenburg , † August 28, 1952 in Göttingen ) was a German geographer .

Meinardus was from 1906 professor at the University of Münster and from 1920 at the University of Göttingen .

He worked in the fields of climatology and oceanography. In 1909 he was elected a member of the Leopoldina . Since 1929 he was a corresponding member of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences . The Meinardus Glacier in Antarctica is named in his honor. The Antarctic Convergence is also known as the Meinardus Line.
