Wilhelm Schnabl

Wilhelm Schnabl (born April 9, 1904 in Eger , † April 22, 1990 in Salzburg ) was a Bohemian - Austrian painter and draftsman .

Life

Schnabl moved to Vienna in 1918 and studied between 1922 and 1927 at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna a . a. with Karl Sterrer and Alois Delug . After taking the teaching qualification test for art education and mathematics in 1928, he worked as a drawing teacher in Ried im Innkreis (1930 to 1936), Kufstein (from 1936) and Bludenz (from 1948) and, after retiring from 1969, lived in the city of Salzburg , where an exhibition was dedicated to him in 1974 in the Salzburger Kunstverein im Traklhaus and in 1988 in the Salzburg Museum Carolino Augusteum .

Works

His works include pen drawings and watercolors. His works were u. a. shown in the first joint exhibition of the Innviertel artists' guild after it was re-established in Ried in 1947.
