Wilhelm Spielberg

Wilhelm Spielberg (born July 31, 1826 in Helbra ; † September 13, 1890 ) was a lawyer and member of the Reichstag .

Live and act

Spielberg came in 1847 in Naumburg in the legal civil service, in 1849 he was dismissed for political reasons again and to imprisonment convicted of six months. Around 1850 he took over a manor in Volkstedt and founded a sugar beet factory there. In 1883 he sold the estate and the factory and moved to Berlin, where he administered the city's goods and also became a city councilor. He also traveled to North and South America to prepare German settlements.

In 1870 he was elected to the Prussian state parliament for the two Mansfeld circles as a member of the Progressive Party, to which he initially belonged until 1873. From 1882 to 1888 he was again a member of the House of Representatives, initially as a member of the Liberal Association , from 1886 he did not belong to any parliamentary group. In the House of Representatives he represented the constituency of the administrative region of Merseburg 4 (Saalkreis and city of Halle an der Saale). From 1874 to 1878 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Merseburg 4 (Halle) and the Progress Party.

Spielberg was married to Marie Hulbe, the marriage came from Helene Spielberg, who married the physician Ernst Kohlschütter .
