Wilhelm von Ditfurth (politician)

Johann Karl Eduard Friedrich Wilhelm von Ditfurth (born January 10, 1810 on the Lübrassen manor ; † January 5, 1876 in Bielefeld ) was a German manor owner , politician and government official.

From 1837 Wilhelm von Ditfurth was appointed to the municipal administration of the district office of the Prussian district of Bielefeld and from 1838 as the district administrator .

Life

Wilhelm von Ditfurth belonged to the old noble family von Ditfurth , originally from Quedlinburg . He was born on the Lübrassen manor in today's Heepen . He later became the owner of this property.

On April 16, 1830 he passed his Abitur at the high school in Bielefeld and then studied law and cameralia in Bonn, Heidelberg and Berlin.

In 1836 he was trainee lawyer at the Paderborn Higher Regional Court and in 1837 government trainee lawyer with the Minden government . Shortly thereafter, he took over administration of the district office and was appointed district administrator of the Bielefeld district in 1838.

Wilhelm von Ditfurth was married to Eleonore Juliane Wilhelmine Friederike von Borries (1814–1886), daughter of the Minden government president Franz von Borries . The couple had several children, including the politician and manorial estate owner Franz von Ditfurth and the Prussian lieutenant general and Pascha in the Ottoman army Bodo Borries von Ditfurth .

Wilhelm von Ditfurth was in 1864 (deputy), 1868 (deputy) and 1871 to 1873 for the status of knighthood in the electoral district of Minden-Ravensberg, member of the provincial council of the province of Westphalia . He was also a member of the provincial committee.

Awards

Wilhelm von Ditfurth was the bearer of the Order of the Red Eagle III. Class with the ribbon and bearer of the Order of the Crown III. Class . He was appointed a secret councilor.
