He then worked at the University of Michigan as Warner Lambert / Parke Davis Professor until 2004. Since 2004 he and his group have been based on the Jupiter , Florida campus of the Scripps Research Institute (TSRI), where he works as Professor of Chemistry and Director of Medicinal Chemistry .

plant

Roush works in the field of organic chemistry . His research concerns the synthesis of natural products , the development of synthetic methods and medicinal chemistry. He is known for his stereochemical studies, method developments of the intramolecular Diels-Alder reaction and investigations into the stereoselective synthesis of acyclic compounds. He has also devoted himself to deoxyglycosides, polyhydroxylated natural products and the synthesis of enzyme inhibitors . The Roush reaction is named after him.
