Bio , real name Williams Silvio Modesto Verísimo (born March 8, 1953 in São Paulo , † February 23, 2008 in Guarulhos , municipality of São Paulo), was a Brazilian soccer player.

Career

He started his career at Associação Ferroviária de Esportes and signed a contract with SE Palmeiras in 1972 . In the 1974/75 season he was under contract for the club EC Vitória . After three years in Brazil, he moved to the Catalan club Terrassa in 1975 . After three years he obtained citizenship of Spain and for this reason he ended his career in Catalonia. In 1978 he moved to FC Barcelona . With the club he won the Copa del Rey (1977/78) and the European Cup Winners' Cup (1978–1979). In 1979 he moved to Espanyol Barcelona together with Alfredo Amarillo Kechichian and Paco Fortes . The contract had a three-year term, but after only one season it was loaned to the CD Málaga club. In the 1981/82 season he was loaned to the CE Sabadell club. After the years in Spain he returned to Catalonia and was under contract with various small clubs, later he went back to Brazil and ended his career there. He lived in poverty and died of tuberculosis in 2008 .
