Willian Gerlem (born August 7, 1984 in Linhares , Espírito Santo ) is a Brazilian football player . He has been playing for Operário FC since the beginning of 2016 .
Career
Gerlem came to Europe in 2005 to GD Estoril Praia , who was playing in the Liga de Honra , the second Portuguese division, at the time. With his club he was able to place in the midfield of the class in the 2005/06 season . In January 2007, the Romanian first division club Farul Constanța signed him . There he was initially only used irregularly in the second half of the 2006/07 season , but was part of the team's extended core in the following seasons. After relegation in 2009 , he left the club to league rivals FC Vaslui . While he was still a regular there in the 2009/10 season , he was rarely considered in the following.
In the summer of 2012, Gerlem's contract in Vaslui was not extended. He returned to Brazil, where he at EC Vitória in the Série B played. He only made three missions and thus had little share in the rise of his team. The Swedish first division team Syrianska FC got him in mid-2013 . With his new club he had to relegate at the end of the 2013 season . He stayed with the club one class lower . In mid-2014 he was loaned to AFC United in the Swedish third division for half a year . With his new club, he was promoted to the Superettan in the 2014 season. He returned to Brazil in early 2015.
