Willy Röpcke

Willy Karl Theodor Ludwig Röpcke (* July 2, 1879 in Braunschweig , † May 2, 1945 in Goslar ) was a German judge and local politician. From 1930 to 1933 he was President of the Braunschweig Higher Regional Court.

Life

Röpcke studied law in Leipzig . In 1906 he became a court assessor in the Braunschweig judicial service. He was appointed district judge in 1911. From 1921 to 1924 he was a lecturer at the Ministry of Justice. Röpcke joined the DDP in 1920 and was a member of the state executive for several years. From 1921 to 1925 he was a member of the city ​​council in Braunschweig. In 1922 he was appointed higher regional judge. On January 1, 1929, he became President of the Regional Court and on July 1, 1930, President of the Higher Regional Court in Braunschweig. At the time of National Socialism , he was reassigned to a higher regional judge in May 1933, although he retained the previous official title.
