Wilson Benge
George Frederick "Wilson" Benge ( March 1, 1875 in Greenwich , London - July 1, 1955 in Hollywood , California ) was a British actor.
Life
Wilson Benge starred in around 200 Hollywood films from 1922 until his death in 1955, with most of his roles being rather small. He was usually cast in the role of British butler or other servant, such as usher, bouncer or waiter. He has appeared several times with Laurel and Hardy and in the Sherlock Holmes series with Basil Rathbone . In addition to his film work, he was also a theater actor and director.
