The wind farm Ullersdorf is a section taken in 2014 in operating wind farm in Jamlitz that near the district Ullersdorf was built. The operator is the Saarbrücken energy supply company STEAG New Energies GmbH. Construction began in October 2013, and the first system went online in May 2014. In November 2014, the wind farm was officially inaugurated after completion.
location
The wind farm is located in the north of Ullersdorf on the site of the former main ammunition depot in Weichensdorf , which was initially used by the NVA and then by the Bundeswehr . In 2008 the location was given up and a change of use was pushed forward.
technology
For insert 18 come wind turbines of the type Nordex N117 / 2400 with a capacity of 2.4 MW, a rotor diameter of 117 meters and a hub height of 141 meters. This results in a total height of the systems of almost 200 meters. This type is a so-called low-wind power plant, i.e. wind turbine that has been specially developed for inland locations with weaker winds. The forecast annual electricity generation is around 116 GWh , which, according to Steag, corresponds to the annual electricity requirements of 29,000 households. This results in a capacity factor of approx. 30.5%.
