Winfrid Freiherr von Pölnitz von und zu Egloffstein (born May 19, 1933 in Munich ) is a German administrative lawyer .

Life

Winfrid Maria Albrecht Paul Max vu zu Egloffstein was the son of the marriage of Peter-Paul Freiherr vu zu Egloffstein (1902–1988) and Leopoldine, Freiin v. Polnitz . He was married to Ernestine Walburga, Countess von Preysing-Lichtenegg-Moos (1937-2010); there are five children from the marriage. Winfrid vu zu Egloffstein was adopted in 1963 by his mother's brother Sigmund Freiherr von Pölnitz , Bamberg, with an effect on the future name: Freiherr von Pölnitz von und zu Egloffstein (Baron von Pölnitz-Egloffstein).

Abitur in 1951 at the Benedictine high school in Metten. Winfrid v. Pölnitz-Egloffstein then studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich from 1951 to 1955 and received his doctorate in law in 1957 on the subject of "The development of the restructuring issue in Germany with special consideration of its constitutional problems". From 1953 to 1954 he was chairman of the Ring of Christian Democratic Students (RCDS) in Bavaria. Membership in the CSU since 1953 with various tasks.

From 1959 to 1965 he worked for the Bavarian Finance Administration, the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs and Transport and the High Authority of the then European Coal and Steel Community in Luxembourg. From 1965 to 1998 he was the administrator of the Fürstlich und Graeflich Fugger foundations in Augsburg. Resigned from the Bavarian state in 1965 as senior councilor a. D.

From 1970 to 1999 Winfrid von Pölnitz was a board member of the Federal Association of German Foundations , from 1970 to 1986 he was its executive board member.

In 1965 Winfrid von Pölnitz was appointed Knight of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Eugène Cardinal Tisserant and invested in Munich on May 1, 1965 by Julius Cardinal Döpfner , Honorary Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy . He is Commander of the Order.
