Winifred Jordan
Winifred Jordan ( Winifred Sadie "Winnie" Jordan, née Jeffrey; born March 15, 1920 in Kings Norton , Birmingham ; † April 13, 2019 ) was a British sprinter .
In 1938 she won bronze at the British Empire Games in Sydney with the English 440-yard relay and silver with the English 660-yard relay.
At the European Athletics Championships in Oslo in 1946 , she won silver over 100 m and 200 m and came fourth in the 4 x 100 meter relay with the British team.
In 1948 she reached the semi-finals at the Olympic Games in London over 100 m.
She was English champion over 100 m four times (1937, 1945, 1947, 1948) and once over 200 m (1945) and over 440 yards (1945).
