Winrich Scheffbuch

Hans-Winrich Scheffbuch (born June 18, 1938 in Urach ) is a German theologian , pastor of the Württemberg regional church , co-founder of the aid organizations " Help for Brothers " and " Christian Specialists International " and author.

Live and act

Scheffbuch grew up as the son of a teacher a. a. together with his brother Rolf Scheffbuch . He studied Protestant theology and then worked as a district youth pastor in Sulgen between 1964 and 1970 , before moving to the Ludwig Hofacker Church in Stuttgart , where he worked until his retirement in 2000. After that he was head of the relief organizations “Help for Brothers” and “Christian Specialists International” (CFI), which were co-founded in 1980 and 1985, and was the initiator of their “Youth Conference for World Mission” (JuMiKo).

In 1969 he became the successor of Hans Brandenburg as chairman of the Missionary Association of Light in the East . He was a member of the main board of the German Evangelical Alliance , participated in the Württemberg regional synod and was part of the leadership group of the Christ Movement “Living Community” . In his retirement he mainly works as a speaker, book author and leader of study trips.

Winrich Scheffbuch is married to Beate Eichele. The couple has four daughters and lives in Stuttgart .
