Winston Duke (born November 15, 1986 in Roxborough ) is a Trinidadian actor .

Career

Winston's parents immigrated to the United States when he was 9 years old. The 1.96 m tall Duke studied at Yale University and then initially appeared in stage productions for the Portland Stage Company and the Yale Repertory Theater .

Since 2014 he has also been active in film and television. He has made recurring roles in the US series Person of Interest , The Messengers and Modern Family . In 2018 he was first seen playing the role of M'Baku in the Marvel film adaptation of Black Panther . He also took on this role in the chronological follow-up film Avengers: Infinity War .

In 2019 he appeared as Gabe Wilson in Jordan Peele's horror thriller We .
