Success Bonuses

For particularly successful athletes, the Deutsche Sporthilfe Foundation awarded prizes - as it did for games before -: 20,000 euros for winning a gold medal, 15,000 for silver and 10,000 for bronze. Non-medal ranks were also rewarded with a success payment, graduated up to 8th place (1,500 euros). For the first time, the support for the athletes of the Paralympics was identical to the payments to successful German Olympians. The highest placement of an athlete was awarded.

⁽¹⁾ Anna Schaffelhuber was disqualified in the slalom competition because of an alleged starting error, but she was awarded the gold medal at the Green Table.
