Florian Thomas Grimm (born April 21, 1984 in Kempten (Allgäu) ) was a guide and trainer for the blind biathlete Wilhelm Brem from Ketterschwang from 2007 to 2014 . Together with Brem, Grimm won the gold medal in biathlon at the 2010 X Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver . Both also took part in the XI. Participated in Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games . Here they reached the 6th place in the biathlon. At the closing ceremony of the games in Sochi , Brem and Grimm had the special honor of carrying the German flag into the stadium. They contested many world cups and world championships together.

Florian Grimm and Wilhelm Brem won the Silver Laurel Leaf as gold medalists at the X Paralympic Winter Games 2010 in Vancouver.

In 2008 Florian Grimm completed his training as a DSV C-Trainer biathlon at the German Ski Association.

In the 2016/2017 season, Florian Grimm was partly the guide of the blind biathlete Clara Klug and took third place in biathlon and cross-country skiing at the World Cup in Vuokatti (Finland). At the World Cup in Pyeongchang (South Korea), which was also used as a test competition for the XII. The 2018 Paralympic Winter Games took place in Pyeongchang, Klug and Grimm won the biathlon.

Since the 2019/2020 season, Florian Grimm has started as a guide together with the blind biathlete Vivian Hösch from Freiburg. Together they won the German championship titles in biathlon and cross-country skiing in Oberhof. You contested your first World Cup in December 2019 in Lillehammer (Norway).

Florian Grimm starts for SSV Niedersonthofen. He was an active biathlete and cross-country skier himself . He celebrated his greatest success by winning the overall ranking of the IBU International Cup in 2005. At the European championship premiere in the summer biathlon in Clausthal Zellerfeld 2004, Grimm was the best German junior with a running time of 18: 24.9 minutes and zero errors in prone and 2 errors 4th place in standing shooting. This was followed by participation in the junior races of the 2004 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Osrblie , where he was 30th of the individual and 35th of the pursuit.

Florian Grimm works as a Global Senior Specialist at 3M. In 2015 he was one of 30 employees of the multi-technology group 3M around the world to receive the "3M gives Volunteer Award". The company honors him for his social commitment as a trainer and companion in disabled sports.
