The Wischas ( Russian Ви́жас ) is a tributary of the Barents Sea in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug and in the Arkhangelsk Oblast in northwestern Russia .
The Wischas flows south of the Kanin Peninsula in a north-northeast direction to the Chosha Bay , on the western south coast of which it flows into the Barents Sea. The river has a length of 219 km and drains an area of 3050 km². It is fed by the snowmelt as well as by precipitation .
