Vital Charapenka

Wital Tscharapenka ( Belarusian Віталь Чарапенька , Russian Виталий Черепенько / Witali Tscherepenko, English Vitali Charapenka ; born January 27, 1984 in Brest , Belarusian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Belarusian handball goalkeeper .

Career

The 1.95 m tall and 88 kg heavy right-hander made his debut in the Belarusian league at SKA Minsk at the age of 17 , where he won the championship and the cup in his first year. In 2004 he moved to Brest GK Meschkow in his hometown . There he won four other championships and six cup wins. Internationally, he reached the group stage of the EHF Champions League several times , the 3rd round of the EHF Cup in 2008/09 and 2012/13 as well as the quarter-finals of the European Cup Winners' Cup 2011/12.

With the Belarusian national team Vitaly Charapenka took part in the 2013 World Cup and the 2014 European Championship . So far, he has played 78 international matches . (As of December 11, 2016)
