Vyacheslav Alexandrovich Tokarew ( Russian Вячеслав Александрович Токарев ; born June 17, 1986 in Alma-Ata , Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh ice hockey player who plays on the position of the striker . He is currently under contract with the German top division EHC Neuwied .

Career

When his family emigrated to Germany in the 1990s , Vyacheslav Tokarev learned to play ice hockey at the EC in Cologne . However, he and his family were expelled again in 2000, so that he had to continue his ice hockey career in Kazakhstan.

His first station in professional hockey was Jenbek Almaty . There he plays with his team for the Kazakh ice hockey championship . After a year Tokarev left Alma-Ata in the direction of Karaganda and played there for three years at Kasachmys Karaganda and later for Kasachmys Satpajew , alternately in the first and second team in the Wysschaja League or in the Kazakh Hockey Championship . During the 2006/07 season he moved to HK Irtysh Pavlodar and in the following season he was still under contract with this team, but did not make a game and moved to Kaszink-Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk and a short time later back to Satpajew . However, he also remained connected to his previous club from Karagandy and so he played the 2009/10 season and the 2010/11 season about half of the season with each team. For the 2011/12 season he went back to Alma-Ata, where the local ice hockey team was just renamed HK Almaty .

He and his brother Oleg will be on the ice from the 2012/13 season . It was also decisive that he can play again under his former youth coach at the Cologne EC, Bernd Arnold.

International

For Kazakhstan , he took part in the 2004 U18 World Junior Championship and the 2006 U20 World Junior Championship .
