Wladimir Leonidowitsch Bogdanow ( Russian Владимир Леонидович Богданов ; born May 28, 1951 , Tyumen Oblast , Soviet Union ) is a Russian manager .

Life

Bogdanov studied at the Tyumen Industrial Institute and then worked in the oil industry in Tyumen Oblast since 1973 , primarily for the Surgutneftegas company . Within this company he quickly rose to the position of production manager and finally, in 1984, to head of the group. In 1993 he played a key role in the privatization and transformation of the company into a stock corporation .

Bogdanov is married and has one child. According to the US magazine Forbes , Bogdanov is one of the richest Russians.
