Vladimir Mantschew (born October 6, 1977 in Pazardzhik ) is a former Bulgarian football player . He played a total of 215 games in the Bulgarian A Grupa , the French Ligue 1 and the Spanish Primera División .

Career

Vladimir Mantschew began his football career with Spartak Pleven in his native Bulgaria . The talented striker was quickly noticed - in 1999 he moved to the Bulgarian top club CSKA Sofia , for which he played for four years. With the move to OSC Lille he also became known in Europe's top leagues. After two years in Lille, Mantschew was looking for a new challenge, which he found in the Levante UD and the Spanish Primera División . With Levante Manchev managed the direct resurgence, but he had to leave the club and signed a contract with Real Valladolid . With this club, too, he was promoted, but again he stayed in the Segunda División , this time with the traditional Galician club Celta de Vigo . After a disaster for him, he played the second half of the 2007/2008 season again at Real Valladolid, but could not recommend himself, which is why his contract was dissolved in the summer.

After three months without a club, CSKA Sofia signed him in October 2008. There he started with four goals in the first four games, but then fell out the rest of the season due to injury. In the 2009/10 season he was only used six times. In the summer of 2010 his contract was not renewed and Mantschew first moved to Akademik Sofia in the B Grupa before Lokomotiv Sofia signed him in August 2010. He ended his career in summer 2012.

Due to his international experience, Vladimir Mantschew also played a few times for the Bulgarian national team, but there he is only used sporadically.
