Vladimir Vasilyevich Gribkov
Vladimir Vasilyevich Gribkow ( Russian Владимир Васильевич Грибков * 2 . Jul / 15. May 1902 . Greg in Voronezh , Russian Empire ; † 22. October 1960 in Moscow , RSFSR , USSR ) was a Soviet theater - and film - actor , voice actor as well as Estrada artists.
Life and accomplishments
Wladimir Gribkow was born as the son of the cook Vasily Mitrofanowitsch Gribkow and the seamstress Jekatarina Pavlovna Gribkowa, but lost his father at the age of 12. He completed his school career as well as his acting training in his hometown and worked, among other things, for the railway militia to make a living.
Gribkow joined the Chekhov Art Theater in Moscow in 1924 , where he was active until 1938 and from 1944 until his death. He gave his most important roles in an adaptation of Charles Dickens ' Die Pickwickier (1934) and in Oleksandr Kornijtschuks Платон Кречет (Platon Kretschet) (1935). Other well-known productions with his participation were Tsar Fedor Ivanovich based on Alexei K. Tolstoy , Resurrection based on the novel by Lev Tolstoy and Mikhail Bulgakov's Alexander Pushkin . Gribkov played his last role in the year of his death in an adaptation of Fyodor Dostoyevsky's The Brothers Karamazov .
Gribkows filmography includes 34 works, mostly he was seen in supporting roles . Only a few of his films were known abroad, including the fairy tale film The Magic Corn , in which the only 39-year-old played the much older-looking doctor omniscient thanks to his costume and mask . With Ivan Pereversev , his film partner in The Magic Corn , he also worked together in Der Weg zum KO , in the monumental film The Unforgettable Year 1919 had a cameo . Gribkow was also heard in several animated films as a speaker, including a. he lent his voice to the character of Ole Lukøje in The Snow Queen (1957) .
Vladimir Gribkow died at the age of 58 and was buried in the Vedenskoye Cemetery in Moscow.
Honors
In 1948 Gribkow received the Order of Honor and was named an Honored Artist of the RSFSR that same year . In 1952 he received the Stalin Prize, first class, for his appearance in Lev Tolstoy's Плоды просвещения ( Plody prosweschtschenija ) .
Private
Gribkow was married three times, most recently to Lydia Evgenjewa Kjakscht (1905-1976), who worked for the Soyuzdetfilm film studio .
