Wladislaw Alexandrowitsch Skobelew ( Russian Владислав Александрович Скобелев ; born  January 24, 1987 in Oritschi, Kirov Oblast ) is a Russian cross-country skier .

Career

Since 2007 Skobelew has mainly participated in the Eastern Europe Cup . He has had two wins so far and finished the 2012/13 season in second place in the overall standings (as of the end of the 2016/17 season). He achieved his first international success at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2010 in Hinterzarten . There he won gold over 15 km classic. In January 2011 he ran his first World Cup race in Otepää , which he finished classically in 13th place over 15 km. A week later, he won three gold medals at the 2011 Winter Universiade in Erzurum . His best place in a World Cup race so far was an eleventh place in the skiathlon in February 2013 in Sochi . At the 2013 Winter Universiade in Lago di Tesero , he won silver in the relay and gold in the 30 km mass start race. In March 2014 he became the classic Russian champion over 15 km in Tyumen . He finished the Tour de Ski 2015 in 29th place overall.
