Panos Skourletis

Panos Skourletis ( Greek Πάνος Σκουρλέτης , * 1962 in Athens ) is a Greek politician of the former ruling party SYRIZA . He has been a Minister in the government of Alexis Tsipras since January 27, 2015 , initially as Minister of Labor. On July 17, 2015, he moved to the cabinet post for Reconstruction, Environment, Energy and Climate Change as the successor to the dismissed Panagiotis Lafazanis .

Skourletis studied economics at the University of Piraeus . He was already involved as a schoolboy and as a student in the communist youth. He was press officer for the left party Synaspismos and is considered a confidante of Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras .
