The Voghdschi ( Armenian Ողջի ; Azerbaijani Oxçuçay ; Russian Вохчи ) is a left tributary of the Aras in southeastern Armenia and in the south of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (in the area of Azerbaijan ).
The Voghdschi rises in the Sangesur reserve on the eastern slope of Kaputdschugh , the highest mountain in the Sangesurkamm . From there it flows in an easterly direction through the mountains of the Armenian province of Sjunik . In doing so, it drains the southern flank of the Barguschat Mountains . The Armenian cities of Kajaran and Kapan lie on the river . The Voghdschi crosses the border into Azerbaijan (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic), turns to the southeast, passes Kovsakan (the former Azerbaijani rayon administrative center Zəngilan) and finally flows into the Macaws near Mincivan.
The Voghdschi has a length of 82 km. It drains an area of 1175 km². The mean discharge is 11 m³ / s.
