Wolf is a location in the north of the Bergisch city of Wuppertal .
Location and description
The location is in the south of the Uellendahl-West residential area in the Uellendahl-Katernberg district at an altitude of 197 m above sea level. NHN in the valley of the Mirker Bach on today's Uellendahler Straße corner of Albert-Schweitzer-Straße . The name Wolf is mostly no longer in the minds of the population as an independent name for this location, the original residential area has been incorporated into the residential and commercial development along Uellendahler Straße .
Neighboring locations, farms and living spaces are Uellendahl , Am Gebrannten , Röttgen , Auf der Nüll , Am Brucher Häuschen , Weinberg , Am Haken and Kempers Häuschen . In the local situation, the course of the brook flows into the Mirker Bach.
Etymology and history
The place is on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 as a.Bruch. and marked as Wolf on the Prussian first recording from 1843 .
The road from Elberfeld via Hatzfeld and Schmiedestraße to Sprockhövel and Witten was built in 1825 , which is now Uellendahler Straße
