On Brucher house is a local situation in the north of Bergisch city Wuppertal .

Location and description

The location is in the east of the Uellendahl-West residential area in the Uellendahl-Katernberg district at an altitude of 226  m above sea level. NHN on the street Kempers little house . This was part of today's street Am Brucher Häuschen until 1973 , the southern part of which was separated this year and renamed Kempers Häuschen . The middle part of the street at the level of the residential area was converted into a footpath.

Neighboring locations, farms and living spaces are Uellendahl , Am Flöthen , Weinberg , Am Deckershäuschen , Am Sonnenschein , Norkshäuschen , Röttgen , Kempers Häuschen , Am Bruch , In den Siepen and Auf der Nüll .

At the place, the stream flows past the Gebrannten , a tributary of the Mirker Bach .

history

In the 19th century, Am Brucher Häuschen belonged to the Mirker Rotte of the Lord Mayor's Office in Elberfeld . The place is marked unlabeled on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824, as well as on the Prussian first survey from 1843. On the Wuppertal city map from 1930 it is marked as Am Brucher Häuschen . In the Elberfeld address books of 1850 the place is called Bruckenhäuschen and in 1852 Bruckershäuschen .

Which according to the statistics and topography of the district of Dusseldorf as 1832 Ackergut categorized place was at the time as the Bruckerhäus. referred to and owned a house and two farm buildings. At that time there were seven people living in the village, all of whom were Protestant. No inhabitants are given for 1815/16.

The place was on the so-called Langenberger Postweg , an old road to Langenberg . Around 1900 an association for the establishment of a homeopathic hospital bought a restaurant because of “the healthy situation” in the village.
