Wolf Heinecke (born May 13, 1929 in Friedrichroda , Thuringia ) is a German painter and graphic artist .

After Heinecke came into contact with modern art for the first time in 1946 in the form of works by the Bauhaus artists in Weimar , he began studying art in 1947 at the State University of Architecture and Fine Arts in Weimar (now the Bauhaus University ). His instructors included Professors Hoffmann-Lederer, Kirchberger , Otto Herbig and Schäfer-Ast.

After a two-year stay in Berlin, he moved to Mannheim in 1952 and became a member of the BBK Mannheim- Heidelberg . Here he came into contact with the painter and filmmaker Franz Schömbs and worked on his abstract film "The Birth of Light" in 1957/58. In 1958 he made architectural models and created the first wall designs on public and private buildings. From 1964 he was a member of the Friends of Young Art Munich (later also a member of the Friends of Young Art Baden-Baden ) and a member of the Rhein-Neckar Artists' Association . In 1974 he joined the New Darmstadt Secession as a member . Heinecke has lived and worked in Bad Dürkheim - Leistadt since 1990 .
