Wolf Trutz (born January 12, 1887 in Chemnitz , † January 4, 1951 in Berlin-Tempelhof ) was a German film and stage actor.

Life

Wolf Trutz began his film career in 1930/31 in Fritz Lang's first sound film M , in which he appeared in an insignificant supporting role alongside Peter Lorre , Otto Wernicke and Gustaf Gründgens . The name Wolf Trutz remains closely connected to that of Gustaf Gründgens, because from 1936 to 1941 five more joint films followed, and Trutz also belonged to the ensemble of the Prussian State Theater Berlin , whose director Gründgens had been since 1934. That defiance, who was married to a Jewish woman for film performances by Goebbels , a special permission was given to him from an exclusion from the realm student council movie preserved, may also be traced back to the use of Gründgens. Until his last film - Hans Steinhoff's unfinished crime thriller Shiva and the Gallows Flower (1945) - Trutz only appeared in small supporting roles.
