action

Jack Warren, a journalist who is popular with women for his books on "interesting women," but has a secret aversion to women in male domains, falls in love with the public- shy pilot Mabel Atkinson. To the displeasure of Mabel's close friends Peggy and Bill, whose marriage proposal Mabel had rejected in order to preserve the long-standing friendship, the two marry and on their wedding night promise each other that they will no longer pursue the profession that the other had rejected.

When Mabel flies again, Jack meets up with actress Dorothy Hopkins, who shares his views on women’s responsibilities and marriage, for an interview. Dorothy, who wants to win Jack over, pretends to be her husband or fiancé during a house inspection. It turns out, however, that Mabel is the owner of the property. Jack tries to defuse the situation through a couplet in which he depicts the absurdity of the situation and suggests his unbroken love for Mabel.

Mabel is now determined to fly from Chicago to Australia in a double-decker with Bill, who is now hoping for a divorce . After the publicly acclaimed return of the two, Jack and Mabel meet before the divorce judge . During the lawyers' pleadings, the two get closer again and leave the room with the will to continue the marriage.
