Wolfgang Brügel (born June 25, 1883 in Greuth , today Castell ; † September 23, 1945 in Nuremberg ) was a member of the Bavarian state parliament between 1920 and 1933 .

Wolfgang Brügel was born on June 25, 1883 in Greuth, Lower Franconia . The family probably moved to Middle Franconia early on and Brügel became a farmer here. He rose to the position of secretary in the Association of Farmers and became director of the Bavarian Land Association in Nuremberg. In addition, Brügel was a lieutenant in the Bavarian Landwehr . In the course of his political work, Wolfgang Brügel was also appointed state economics councilor, which refers to his role as a large farmer.

In the course of his life, Brügel belonged to several parties, all of which belong to the national liberal and national conservative spectrum. Initially he was a member of the Bavarian Middle Party (BMP), later part of the German People's Party of the Palatinate (DVPdP), the German National People's Party (DNVP) and the National Liberal State Party (NL) between 1924 and 1928. From 1928 Brügel was again a member of the German National People's Party.

The farmer was elected to the Bavarian state parliament in 1920 for the district of Ansbach , Dinkelsbühl , Feuchtwangen , Schillingsfürst / Mfr. Brügel became a member of the State Budget Committee in the second electoral term after the proclamation of the republic. Wolfgang Brügel remained a member of the state parliament in the following three electoral terms. Between 1928 and 1932 he was a member of the parliament's council of elders . Brügel left the state parliament in 1933 and moved to Nuremberg. He died here on September 23, 1945.
