Wolfgang Heinz (born July 31, 1938 in Grünstadt ) is a German politician ( FDP ). From 1970 to 1980 he was a member of the state parliament in North Rhine-Westphalia and in 1980 chairman of the parliamentary group.

Life

After graduating from high school in 1958, Heinz studied German, history, pedagogy and political science by 1964. He then worked until 1966 as Head of Domestic Policy at the Association of German Student Associations in Bonn . After that he was head of the educational policy departments at the federal executive committee of the FDP in Bonn until 1967 and from 1968 to 1973 scientific advisor at the Institute for Political Planning and Cybernetics, also in Bonn. From 1981 to 1985 he was director of the Theodor Heuss Academy of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation in Gummersbach . From 1973 to 1981 he was a member of the board of trustees of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation .

Heinz has been a member of the FDP since 1964. From 1974 to 1978 he was deputy chairman of the FDP district association in Cologne. Later he was also a member of the FDP state committee in North Rhine-Westphalia . He has been a member of the Education and Science Union since 1972 . From 1969 to 1973 he was also a member of the district council and district committee of the Rhein-Sieg district , where he was chairman of the FDP parliamentary group. From July 26, 1970 to May 28, 1980 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia in the seventh and eighth electoral periods , and in both elections he entered the state parliament via the state list of his party. On January 1, 1980, he succeeded Hans Koch as chairman of the FDP parliamentary group until the end of the legislative period .
