Hans Koch (born March 25, 1911 in Duisburg , † August 14, 1995 in Solingen ) was a German state and local politician ( FDP ). From 1970 to 1980 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia , most of which as chairman of the FDP parliamentary group .

Life

Hans Koch graduated from school in 1928 with a secondary school leaving certificate. He trained as a local government official. From 1938 to 1945 Koch was city inspector at the city administration of Düsseldorf . After the Second World War , from 1946 to 1951 he was first district inspector and chief inspector at the Olpe district administration , from 1951 to 1956 first administrative director, then first deputy at the Bensberg city ​​administration . In 1956 Koch became city director in Langenfeld , and remained so until February 1, 1968. Until 1970 he was a member of the Langenfeld city council.

In addition, between 1960 and 1970, Koch was chairman of the Association of Main Community Officials and Aldermen in North Rhine-Westphalia, and as such a member of the main board of the German Association of Civil Servants , State Federation of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Koch joined the Free Democratic Party (FDP) in 1964 and had already become chairman of the FDP district association Rhein-Wupper in 1968. He was elected to the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament on July 26, 1970 via the state list and took over the chairmanship of the parliamentary group the following day. In the following legislative period he was also elected to the state parliament and remained chairman of the state parliament until Wolfgang Heinz succeeded him on January 1, 1980. Koch remained a member of the state parliament until May 28, 1980. From 1980 to 1984 he was again Langenfeld city councilor.
