Wolfgang Mascher

Wolfgang Mascher (born October 5, 1947 in Göttingen ; † January 11, 1989 ) was a German actor and voice actor .

He grew up in British Columbia (Canada) and gained his first stage experience there. After graduating from high school in Hamburg he graduated from the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich in 1968/69 .

In 1971 he made his debut at the Stadttheater Ingolstadt , where he worked until 1976. Here he played the first student in Purgatory in Ingolstadt , Abram in hunting scenes from Lower Bavaria , Don Luis in Calderon's Lady Kobold , August jun. in Kohouts August, August, August , Baby in Dorothy Lane's Happy Ending and Toffolo in A Lot of Noise in Chiozza .

From 1976 to 1978 he acted in the theater on Briennerstrasse in Munich in Neumann's Black Fair and Frederick Knott's Warte until it was dark . At the Theater an der Wien in 1977 he appeared in Das Glas Wasser and in the musical Mayflower .

From 1979 to 1982 he was a member of the Bavarian State Theater . Among other things, he embodied Euphorion in Faust II and Tavernier in Labiches Der Florentinerhut . From 1981 he played in the State Theater on Gärtnerplatz . Roles there were Bill in Kiss me Kate , Gustl in The Land of Smiles and Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream .

On television, he was part of the regular cast of Michael Pflegehar's comedy series The Gimmicks in 1978 . Together with Margit Geissler he moderated the German preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 1985 Ein Lied für Göteborg .
