Wolfgang Michel (musician)

Wolfgang Michel (born May 10, 1960 in Bad Nauheim ) is a German conductor .

Wolfgang Michel first learned classical guitar before studying conducting at the Hartt School of Music in Hartford (Connecticut) , at the University of Music Würzburg and at the Mozarteum in Salzburg .

He has worked with many different orchestras, including the National Symphony of Ireland, the Nuremberg Philharmonic , the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic in Zlín , the Hofer Symphoniker , the Henryk Wieniawski Philharmonic in Lublin , the Filarmonica Oltenia in Craiova , the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra and the NDR Radiophilharmonie in Hanover . His engagements took him to the opera houses in Plovdiv , Burgas and the Odessa opera house .
