Wolfgang Peter Geller (* 1945 in Hamburg-Harvestehude ) is a German photographer and founder of the California Sunbounce company .

Life

Geller grew up in a boarding school. After finishing school, he completed an apprenticeship as a foreign trade clerk and then embarked on a career as a lawyer . As a part-time job, he photographed for Hamburger Abendblatt and Stern, among others .

But when he won the World Press Photo Award in 1971 with his photo "Bank robbery in Saarbrücken" , he only devoted himself to photography and worked as a photographer for various companies such as Kodak , Agfa , Zeiss , Bayer and Polaroid worldwide.

In the coming years, Geller photographed 10,000 cover covers for the love novel series Harlequin Romance, among other things .

During a photo shoot in California that was affected by a storm , Geller developed a stable, yet easily transportable reflector. He patented the system and marketed it himself. He markets the reflectors and photo bags worldwide under the name California Sunbounce . The dispatch warehouse is located in Garlstorf , where Geller lives in a restored flour mill.
