Wolfgang Ramadan (* 29. January 1960 in Munich as Wolfgang Ferdinand Windorfer ) is German culture and event managers as well as a poet, musician and actor.

biography

In the 1960s, Wolfgang Ramadan grew up in several foster families. When he was six years old, his mother married the Palestinian Abdel Karim Ramadan, who according to his birth certificate in 1969 gave him his family name. He never got to know his biological father, a Brazilian of German descent, personally. In his youth he was very active musically, completed a commercial apprenticeship and then worked with an event and advertising agency Ramadan - your husband! self-employed.

After two years in Portugal, Ramadan returned to Munich. For health reasons he also spent some time in India , since then he has been very attached to this country and stays there again and again. In the 1980s, Ramadan began writing and successfully composed dialect love poems. With that he appeared as a stage lyricist. As such, he was hired in 1989 for advertising events for the 200th anniversary of the English Garden and, based on previous experience as an organizer, was promoted to the amphitheater's director of the celebrations. This was followed by numerous other tasks as organizer and organizer.

From 1990 he was appointed cultural advisor for Garching near Munich , where he organized cultural events for five years. a. also organized the events for the town elevation of Garching. 15 years later he organized the opening of the Unterföhring community center as head of the cultural department, director and actor . For the 850th anniversary of the city of Munich, he was the curator of the Altstadtringfest and the city foundation festival in 2008 and 2009 . He is also involved in theater and drama projects, for example in the 1990s for the Munich Volkstheater or in 2009 for the natural stage on the Blomberg near Bad Tölz . He is also connected to cabaret and organizes events with numerous well-known cabaret artists, actors and musicians.

In addition to its importance as an art impresario and manager, Ramadan is also an artist himself. In addition to his lyrical work, there are appearances as an actor, including an appearance in the film Rama dama . Musically he is connected to the Caribbean musician Wally Warning , who lived in his neighborhood for a long time. But he also often appears as a musician himself, was on the road with a band in the 90s and has already recorded several CDs with other musicians and published them through his own publishing house, mehrcedes.

In 2011 filmmaker Walter Steffen reported in his film "Gradaus besides - Stories from Lake Starnberg" about the musician, impresario and poet Wolfgang Ramadan. In 2012 Reinhard Kungel shot a documentary about Ramadan for the series Lebenslinien under the title "Life is love" on behalf of Bavarian TV .

In 2013 Ramadan Pension Nirvana staged the world's first chairlift theater at the Blomberg chairlift in Bad Tölz. Because of its success, it was repeated in 2014, with a total of 50 performances. In the same year Wolfgang Ramadan played a leading role in Walter Steffen's film Bavaria Vista Club .

In 2015, Wolfgang Ramadan edited calf brooding - the carnival game by Hans Sachs - in Bavarian. It was a success with the public in Bad Tölz with 25 performances.
