Wolfgang Rudolph (moderator)
Wolfgang Rudolph (born January 30, 1944 in Atzbach , Hessen (uncertain)) is a German television presenter . He is the editor of technical television magazines and one of the pioneers of German computer journalism .
Career
Rudolph completed an apprenticeship as a radio and television technician and studied electrical engineering at the Rheinische Akademie in Cologne .
From the beginning of the 1980s, he and Wolfgang Back, who died on December 5, 2019, moderated the WDR Computer Club for around 22 years and became a pioneer of modern computer journalism. After the broadcast was discontinued by the WDR on February 22, 2003, he took over the moderation of the format The 8th Sense in the WDR program Servicezeit: Technik at the side of Marc Müller , until this was also discontinued.
From July 24, 2006, Rudolph and Back produced a new edition of their "Computer Club" in the form of 30-minute podcasts under the title ComputerClub2 (CC2). From July 24, 2007, the local broadcaster nrw.tv, which could be received on cable television until the beginning of 2018, included ComputerClub2 as a monthly television program in its program, which from July 2010 to April 2013 was also broadcast via the specialty satellite channel DrDish TV, which was then received via Astra and its successor, TecTime TV, could be seen. The format has been privately produced by Rudolph since mid-2016 and after nrw.tv went bankrupt.
The podcasts and recordings of the television programs were made available for viewing on the moderator-operated website of ComputerClub2 until the falling out occurred on December 13, 2016. Since then, Rudolph has continued the format from his own studio and in an adapted form under the name cc2.tv via YouTube and his own website.
In addition to working for television, Rudolph moderated a monthly podcast for Cisco Systems from July 2008 and a podcast for Handelsblatt until 2009 .
He also produced and moderated commercial podcasts (audio and video) for the electronics mail order company Pearl from 2009 and the oxxpun podcast for PCE Instruments since 2014 .
Rudolph is a radio amateur and uses the amateur radio call sign DC3PA.
