Wolfgang Schultze (economist)

Wolfgang Schultze (* 1966 in Kaufbeuren ) is a German economist and professor for business administration. He holds the chair for " Auditing and Controlling " at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Augsburg .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1985, Wolfgang Schultze completed vocational training as a banker and then worked in the profession until 1988 . He did his basic military service by 1989 and then worked in international banking until 1992 .

From 1990 to 1996 Wolfgang Schultze studied economics and social sciences at the University of Augsburg . In 1996 he obtained the degree in business administration . During this time, Wolfgang Schultze in 1992 also made an internship in France and from 1993 to 1994, a study of Economics (VWL) in the United States . There he obtained his " Master of Arts (Economics)".

From 1996 to 2005 Wolfgang Schultze worked as a research assistant or assistant at the chair for "Auditing and Controlling" of Adolf G. Coenenberg at the University of Augsburg. From 1996 to 1998 he received a scholarship for his doctorate from the University of Augsburg. In 1997, Wolfgang Schultze was once again in the USA for research purposes . In 2000 he received his PhD.

Wolfgang Schultze has been back in France as a visiting professor for general business administration (ABWL) since 2001 . From 2002 to 2003 he represented the chair for "International Accounting " at the University of Ulm . In 2005 , Wolfgang Schultze completed his habilitation at the University of Augsburg.

Wolfgang Schultze worked from 2005 to 2007 as a professor for " Accounting and Controlling" at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena .

Since October 2007 he has been teaching and researching as holder of the chair for "Auditing and Controlling" at the University of Augsburg.

Furthermore, Wolfgang Schultze acts as a reviewer for various scientific journals , is a member of various associations and professional practice as a partner of the auditing company "Sonntag & Partner" in Augsburg.

Research priorities

Wolfgang Schultze has summarized his main research areas in the "Center for Performance Research & Analytics" (CEPRA). The CEPRA is a "... think tank , idea generator and solution developer in which scientists and practitioners jointly research and master current and future management challenges." The main research areas include performance, analytical procedures (analytics) and research (research). CEPRA has various cooperation partners from industry .
