Wolfgang Seibrich

Wolfgang Seibrich (born March 21, 1942 in Mainz ; † April 5, 2018 ) was a German church historian .

Life

After studying in Trier and Würzburg and being ordained a priest (1967), Wolfgang Seibrich was chaplain in Hilhaben from 1967 to 1970 . From 1970 to 2004 he was a religion teacher at the grammar school in Kirn and Sobernheim , subsidiary in Kirn St. Pankratius and later the local parish. He received his doctorate in 1975 in Trier and habilitated at the University of Mainz for church history of the Middle Ages and modern times . From 1983 to 2009 he was a lecturer for diocese and regional history at the theological faculty of the University of Trier . He published numerous articles and books on church history.
