Wolfgang "Wölfi" Wendland (born November 9, 1962 in Lünen ) is a German musician , filmmaker , actor , politician and satirist .

Wendland is the singer of the satirical punk band Die Kassierer . In addition to film and theater studies, he studied philosophy , education and politics for a total of 30 semesters . On the 2011 album Urlaub fürs Kirchen by the rap group KIZ, Wendland took part in the title Raus aus dem Amt .

Film projects

Wolfgang Wendland played in the 2009 film Chaostage - We Are Punks! With. As a filmmaker, he deals with regional problems in and around Bochum in a satirical way. He also used this activity for his band when he shot video clips for their songs “The girl with the three blue eyes” and “With my engine” (sometimes known as “outboard motor”).

In 2017 he moderated the internet show "Wolfgang's Internet Imbiss", a partly satirical cooking show with prominent guests. The first season was financed through crowdfunding.

Wendland was active in the APPD (Anarchist Pogo Party of Germany) until it was temporarily dissolved in 1999. His private feud with the Bochum police chief Thomas Wenner helped him gain popularity when he met Wenner on Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR) to resolve the dispute. His numerous appearances on various talk shows also contributed to his fame. In the Ruhr area , Wendland became a cult figure on the left and pogo - anarchist scene. He campaigned for civil rights to use public spaces. After the re-establishment of the APPD in 2000, like many old members, he was initially absent, but received support from the party when he organized a demonstration against the disgusting audacity of Bochum's application for European Capital of Culture .

On June 3, 2005 Wendland continued his political career and stood for the APPD in the early federal election 2005 as a candidate for chancellor. After the elections, the APPD split into the current party and the POP (Pogoanarchist Populists or Pogo Party); whereupon Wendland switched to the POP as the top candidate. From the beginning of 2007 he intensified his efforts for a cultural center in Wattenscheid .

In 2009, Wendland was elected to the district council of Bochum-Wattenscheid in the local elections in North Rhine-Westphalia as a non-party candidate on the list of the party Die Linke . He left the 2014. At the beginning of February 2015, Wolfgang Wendland announced his candidacy as an independent candidate for the office of Lord Mayor of Bochum. Wendland wanted to work for more transparency in the budget and hopes that in Bochum , which has been governed by the SPD since 1946 , “there is no disaffection with politics, but rather a disaffection with the party”. In the mayoral election on September 13, 2015, Wendland came fourth behind the candidates from CDU, SPD and Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen among 12 applicants with 7.91 percent (8,803 votes). In 2018, Wendland joined the SPD.

Wolfgang Wendland, in real life the singer of the punk band "Die Kassierer" and former candidate for mayor of Bochum, plays the sausage manufacturer Jens Markowitz, who first wants to become mayor of Bottrop and then even becomes a candidate for chancellor. In "The Putsch Part 3 - Chancellor's Twilight" Jens Markowitz is Federal Chancellor and fights with his existence in the home office in Bolivia and the citizens of the FRG, whom he promises a basic income and beer in the afterlife with slogans like "Work is shit".
