Wolfrad von Treffen
Count Wolfrad von Treffen (also: Wolfrad von Abensberg ) († 1181 ) came from an old Alemannic noble family called von Altshausen , von Veringen and von Isny . Wolfrad was born around 1125 as the second son of Count Mangold von Veringen and married Hemma von Friesach - a relative of St. Hemma von Gurk and the last of her name. From now on he called himself Treffen (Carinthia) near Villach after his castle and founded the family of those from Treffen / Treven . He still had possessions in his Swabian homeland - including the bailiwick of Isny Monastery - as well as in Carinthia and 100 Huben in Eastern Styria , where he founded and colonized the village of Wenigzell .
Wolfrad von Treffen died around 1181, and since his only son Ulrich II von Abensberg was Patriarch of Aquileia from 1161 to 1182 , his possessions were divided up after his death. His daughter Willibirg was married to Count Heinrich von Lechsgemünd , who in 1207 sold all of his possessions with a few exceptions to the Archbishop of Salzburg.
