Wolfram Frommlet

Wolfram Frommlet (born January 7, 1945 in Ravensburg ) is a German author, journalist, dramaturge, director and university lecturer.

Life

Wolfram Frommlet attended the humanistic Spohn high school in Ravensburg . He then studied German, musicology and art history at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen , while at the same time completing a vocal course. From 1966 to 1969 he studied German language and literature, music, theater and art history as well as singing at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .

Various assistance assignments followed in Munich theaters and opera houses, and he also worked as a culture journalist for tz and in the BR radio notebook . From 1969 he worked for the Kassel State Theater , he was also involved in the apprentice theater . In 1972 he built the “ Marl Model” in Marl , which included play activities with working-class children. In 1974 Frommlet moved to WDR Cologne as a culture presenter and reporter .

He was committed to "North-South issues"; For example, from 1979–1982 he headed a project of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation in Lusaka , Zambia . The focus was on education and training for the Zambia Broadcasting Corporation and the two national newspapers. He organized media training and consulting in Kenya , Rwanda and Indonesia . In 1984 he worked for Deutsche Welle , where he trained employees from developing countries. Further foreign engagements in this area in Southeast Asia and West, East and Southern Africa in the form of several weeks of training followed until 2003.

In 1997 he moved back to Ravensburg and pursued several regional engagements in the artistic field. Since 1998 he has been teaching at the Cooperative State University in Ravensburg . He had lectureships at the universities of Osnabrück, Cologne, Marburg, Essen and Krems, the Weingarten University of Applied Sciences and the School of Design, Ravensburg.
