Wolfram Luther

Wolfram Luther (* 1947 in Marburg ) is a professor in the chair for computer graphics , image processing and scientific computing at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Duisburg and a member of the German National Academic Foundation .

Luther received his doctorate in mathematics from the University of Marburg in 1973 after studying in Marburg and Freiburg from 1966 to 1970 . He completed his habilitation in 1980 at RWTH Aachen University . After several academic activities and visiting professorships in Aachen, Mulhouse , Ulm and Duisburg, he has been a computer science professor at the University of Duisburg since 1993 , which merged into the University of Duisburg-Essen in 2003 . Luther has chaired the examination board since the Applied Computer Science degree program was founded in 2000. He is also a liaison professor at the German National Academic Foundation . In 2004 and 2010 he took on visiting professorships at the Universidad de Chile .
