The Wolfsgruber Bach is a left tributary of the Wupper , which is called Wipper here in the upper reaches, near Marienheide - Holzwipper .
geography
course
The Wolfsgruber Bach rises at an altitude of 427 m in the eastern part of the Gervershagen Forest near a corridor called Wolfsgrube and flows in a north-westerly, then north-westerly direction through the 13 hectares of the Quellbach and deciduous forest area in the Gervershagener Forst (identifier: GM-079, CDDA Code: 344746). The protection was placed, among other things, to secure and develop the near-natural source brook area of a typical low mountain range with brook-accompanying and adjacent hardwood stands.
The stream, fed by several short spring rivulets on the right, takes on a longer nameless inlet on the left and crosses under the L306 state road. Behind it, he also takes up the well depths from the left and crosses under the Hagen – Dieringhausen railway line . A few meters further on, it flows into the Wipper at an altitude of 379 m at Holzwipper.
Catchment area
The catchment area is around 1.15 km² and is drained into the North Sea via the Wupper and Rhine .
