The Seßmarbach , called Thalbecke and Becke in the upper reaches , is a 9.0 km long orographically right tributary of the Agger in the Oberbergisches Kreis , North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

geography

The Seßmarbach rises as Thalbecke about 1 km southeast of Dannenberg on the northern slope of the Unnenberg (505.6 m) at 379  m above sea level. NN . From here it flows primarily to the south. South of Engelnberg in the west and Langer Berg in the east, the brook flows underground through a Grauwacke area . Before Becke it reappears as a Becke and flows east past Gummersbach . It then continues its way south as Seßmarbach and flows into Niederseßmar at 182  m above sea level. NN in the Agger . On its way the brook overcomes 197 m difference in altitude, which corresponds to a mean bed gradient of 21.9 ‰.
