Volodymyr Apatskyj

Volodymyr Mykolaiowytsch Apatskyj ( Ukrainian Володимир Миколайович Апатський ; born August 29, 1928 in Minsk , Belarusian SSR ) is a Ukrainian bassoonist and well-known university teacher .

Life

Apatskyj studied at the Minsk Conservatory and the Saint Petersburg Conservatory . He is the winner of the international competition in Moscow (1st prize). Apatskyj worked as a solo bassoonist in well-known orchestras such as B. with the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic and with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine . Since 1994 he has been professor of bassoon at the National Music Academy of Ukraine Peter Tchaikovsky in Kiev . His students are winners in more than 50 competitions, soloists, chamber musicians and leading orchestral musicians all over the world. His former students are professors at the Bremen University of the Arts , the Seoul Music Academy, the Minsk University of Music, the National Music Academy of Ukraine and many more
