WrayGunn is a seven-piece Portuguese band formed in Coimbra in early 1999 . The style combines various American influences from blues , gospel , rock , soul and funk .
history
After the end of the Tédio Boys , Paulo Furtado founded the band in Coimbra in 2000 with new musicians. Their first EP was released in the same year under the title Amateur , the following year the debut album Soul Jam . Following the release of the album Shangri-La , the musicians were 2008 for a Globo de Ouro in the category Best Portuguese band nominated, and came with the album for the first time in the Portuguese charts, at No. 19. By 2012, published as CD and LP released album L'art brut , they came to third place in the country's sales charts.
